The Rumble Strips

Exciting, fresh and different and back after an extremely lively and very popular set last year.
Devon boys from Tavistock, The Rumble Strips are singer, guitarist and principle songwriter Charlie Waller, Tom Gorbutt on sax and bass, Matthew Wheeler on drums, Henry Clark on keyboards and trumpet and Sam Mansbridge on bass, vocals and orange drum. The band's sound is characterised by catchy saxophone and trumpet-led riffs, stomping percussion and gutsy soul vocals. They receive regular plays on the radio and rave reviews from many sources.
Formed in late 2005 they released their debut single, ‘Motorcycle', early in 2006 followed in 2007 by the ‘Cardboard Coloured Dreams' EP, the singles ‘Alarm Clock' and ‘Girls and Boys In Love', the debut album, ‘Girls and Weather' and the EP ‘Time'. The Strips are signed to major record label Island .
The name? It's actually the strips at the side of the motorway that stop you from falling asleep at the wheel. Very appropriate, as falling asleep is the last thing you will be doing when these guys are on stage.
"That soul-rebel sound is as exciting as ever" - The Guardian.
"A Dexys-resurrected feast of sax, trumpet and drums that rolls like a hay bale” – NME Magazine.
